The South Coast Simcha Band consists of eight members. However, we can change the size and instrumentation of the group for private parties. SCSB specializes in Yiddish, Klezmer, and Israeli music, and also plays a wide variety of pop, standards, jazz, and classic rock and roll. The South Coast Simcha Band is part of the Fifth Annual Daniel Pearl Music Days global network of concerts using the universal language of music to diminish hatred, respect differences and reach out in friendship. Today we join thousands of musicians in hundreds of concerts and dozens of countries, ringing the world in a musical affirmation of the oneness of mankind. After journalist and musician Daniel Pearl was kidnapped and murdered by terrorists in Pakistan, his family and friends came together to work towards a more humane world. A classically-trained violinist, fiddler and mandolin player, Daniel Pearl joined musical groups across the globe. Music Days are centered around his October 10th birthday and carries on his mission of connecting diverse groups through words and music. In 2004, over 400 performances in 39 countries participated in the third annual Daniel Pearl Music Days. This year Harmony for Humanity is spreading farther and ringing louder. This concert will be at the William Bristol Civic Auditorium 16600 Civic Center Drive in Bellflower, Sunday October 7th at 2:30 Yiddish
